Troubleshooting
Problem
Setting QualityStage Match weight overrides with either MULT_UNCERT or MULT_EXACT does not seem to work. The output from the Match does not take into account what is set for the override weights.
Symptom
Running Match using MULT_UNCERT or MULT_EXACT on a column returns the same match results whether weight overrides are set or not. There is no difference in the result. But if the column is changed to use UNCERT or EXACT, the match results will change depending on whether overrides are set.
Cause
MULT_UNCERT and MULT_EXACT do not work with overrides.
This has been identified as a product defect under APAR JR41233 as
1. Match is not warning in any way that the MULT_UNCERT and MULT_EXACT comparison do not accept overrides.
2. Match Designer is letting the user enter overrides for MULT_UNCERT and MULT_EXACT comparisons.
Diagnosing The Problem
The QualityStage Match output is the same regardless whether a column set to use MULT_UNCERT or MULT_EXACT with or without weight overrides
Resolving The Problem
Do not use MULT_UNCERT or MULT_EXACT with overrides.
There are additional Match comparisons that also do not work with overrides and they have been documented in TechNote 1515078 as per link below.
