Question

Is it possible to change the cost type that is used during inventory issues?

Answer

Yes. Issue costs for inventory in Maximo can be configured in the Organizations application. To select issue costs, from the "Select Action" menu, choose "Inventory Options" and then "Inventory Costs". Once the dialog box is displayed, you can select standard, average, LIFO (last in first out) or FIFO (first in first out) cost types. This allows you greater flexibility to use costing methods that more closely fall in line with a number of business models.
