Is it possible to create tax exempt items in Maximo?
Answer
Yes. Tax exempt items, services or tools can now be created very easily in Maximo 7.5 and later versions. You can designate these tax exempt items types in the Item Master, Service Items or Tools applications. Configuring the record as tax exempt requires you to check the "Tax Exempt?" check box on the main tab of each of the previously mentioned applications.
Once the item, service item or tool is added to a PR or PO line, the tax code and tax fields become read-only.
