Installing WebSphere Operational Decision Management V7.5 using DVDs

To install WODM from the DVDs:

1. Make sure that you have a minimum of 8GB of space on your hard disk.
2. Copy both .tar files to your computer.
3. Extract the .tar files using an extraction tool that supports .tar files.

Before extraction, the DVDs have the following structure:

• DVD 1 (prerequisites)
  CB6LXML.iso\
  CB6LXML.tar
• DVD 2 (WebSphere Operational Decision Management)
  CB6LYML.iso\
  CB6LYML.tar

After extraction of the .tar files, the two directories have the following content:

• DVD 1/
  BSpace/
  IM/
  launchpad/
  responsefiles/
  WAS/
  WAS_iFix/
  WXS/

• DVD 2/
  IM/
  launchpad/
  responsefiles/
  WDC/
  WDS/

Note: To perform a typical installation, copy the contents of both disks to the same directory on your computer. For example, copy the contents of DVD 1 to a folder called DVD 1, and then copy the contents of DVD 2 to the same folder, and then start the launchpad executable from the DVD 1 folder. Some files are on both disks, but you can overwrite them safely.
