Cannot load WebSphere Process Server Hypervisor Edition image to IBM Workload Deployer

Technote (troubleshooting)

Problem(Abstract)

When adding a WebSphere Process Server Hypervisor Edition image to IBM Workload Deployer (IWD) with the image loader Graphical User Interface (GUI) or the command line, the image is not loaded to IBM Workload Deployer and the following exception occurs:.
"com.ibm.ws.hve.loader.VirtualImageLoader runCLI WARNING: java.io.IOException: Cannot run program "bin/cloudburst": error=2, No such file or directory."

Cause

The problem occurs if the Command-Line Interface (CLI) directory name of IBM Workload Deployer was changed from what it was with WebSphere Cloudburst Appliance (WCA), and the image loader still looks for the old directory name that was used with WebSphere Cloudburst Appliance.

Resolving the problem

Follow these steps to solve the problem:

1. Extract the package of WebSphere Process Server Hypervisor Edition.
2. Put ImageLoader.jar in <HVE_EXTRACT_DIR>/imageLoader/libs, and overwrite the original jar file.
3. Start the image loader, using the GUI or command line, with loader.sh or loader.bat, to load the image to IBM Workload Deployer.

Note that the ImageLoader.jar can also be used to load the image to WebSphere Cloudburst Appliance.
