Technote (FAQ)
Question
Why doesn't FastBack DR use all the available bandwidth?
Cause
High overhead caused by DR compression slows down the replication.
Answer
FastBack DR uses compression to better utilize slow connections.
However, the overhead caused by compression may degrade the performance, resulting in slow thruput for the replication, even though the data is being transferred over a high speed connection (over 15-20 Mbps).
