Unable to setup a Formal Module for Shareable Edit mode using Rational DOORS

Troubleshooting


Problem

Attempts to setup a Formal Module for Shareable Edit mode result in Error "Problem setting default access control for below objects" when using IBM Rational DOORS.

Symptom

When you try to setup a Formal Module for Shareable Edit mode, it results in the following error:


"CRCRD5521W: Problem setting default access control for below objects:
Object ID <id#>: The user '<username>' doesn't have control access"

Cause

When User tries to setup a Formal Module for Shareable Edit mode does not have Admin (A) access to the module.

Resolving The Problem

When setting up a Formal Module for Shareable Edit mode, it changes Access Permissions on Shareable Edit sections. In order for users to change Access Permissions on the section requires to have Admin (A) access to the Module.

To resolve the issue, assign the user in question with Admin (A) permissions for the module.
