Question
How do you edit the workarea filters in IBM Rational Synergy 7.2?
Cause
You would like to add the files which are by default excluded during the workarea 'sync' operation.
Answer
Starting from IBM Rational Synergy 7.2 you will have to edit the mapping_rules files on the model to edit the WorkArea filters.
- Start a Rational Synergy Java client session as user ccm_root
- Click Tools > Start Synergy CLI
- Run the following commands:
- ccm set role ccm_admin
- ccm query -t model -n base
base/model/base/1 ac_rel ccm_root model <void> <void> - ccm attr -s mapping_rules @1
Note: This will list the default mapping rules
- ccm attr -m mapping_rules @1
Note: This will remove any default rules run the above mentioned command.
This will open a text editor which will have to be edited or the lines corresponding the the file types removed.
- Save the file
- Refresh the Database
- ccmdb refresh <database_path>
- Restart the client for the changes to take affect
