Apply hotfix when moving to Tivoli Service Request Manager version 7.2.1 from version 6 or 7.1, if you added columns to the SLA table in version 6 or 7.1

Abstract

The SLA table is restructured in Tivoli Service Request Manager 7.2.1. If you modified the SLA table with the Database Configuration application in Tivoli Service Request Manager 6 or 7.1, you must apply the Maximo for Service Providers 7.1.1.2 hotfix, before you run updatedb. Apply the hotfix to ensure that SLA table configuration changes and data are migrated to the new version 7.2.1 installation.

If you are moving to Tivoli Service Request Manager 7.2.1 from version 6 or 7.1, and if you have added any columns to the SLA table with the Database Configuration application, then, before you run updatedb, you must apply the Maximo for Service Providers 7.1.1.2 hotfix to a new Tivoli Service Request Manager 7.2.1 installation.

Contact IBM Tivoli Support to obtain the required product update.

During installation, you must choose the option to defer updatedb. Complete the version 7.2.1 installation, then apply the Service Providers 7.1.1.2 hotfix to Tivoli Service Request Manager 7.2.1. Then run updatedb.

The SLA table is restructured in version 7.2.1, and data in the SLA table is copied into a new table structure, headed by the PLUSPSERVAGREE table. You must apply the Service Providers 7.1.1.2 hotfix to ensure that any SLA table configuration changes, and the data in any added columns, are migrated to the new table structure that is created by the installation of Tivoli Service Request Manager 7.2.1.
