Technote (troubleshooting)


Installing multiple mobile products, the installs after the first one won't allow you to continue due to already being installed.


Unable to install more than one Mobile Product for Maximo.


Mobile Asset Manager, Mobile Inventory Manager and Mobile Work manager all share the same base install.

Diagnosing the problem

Trying to install more than one Mobile product only lets you continue when you select the language package.

Resolving the problem

Running the Mobile Launchpad after the first product is installed, only use the product enabler instead of the install. This will allow the other Mobile applications to be enabled and used.

There are two ways to run the enabler, the first is to open the Launchpad, and under the install section, the last option is to run the Mobile product enabler.

You can also run the Process Solution Installer to run the product enabler.
In command prompt navigate to:
<maximo root>\bin and run the solutionInstallerGUI.bat

Follow the on screen instructions, and when asked to choose a package, navigate to:
<package unzipped location>\Install\MOBILEPRODENABLE\Install
And choose the Mobile product key .zip package.

Accept and continue to follow the on screen instructions.

Once the installer is done, run updatedb and rebuild and redploy your ear.
