ITCAM4Tx: WRT agent not capturing data when monitoring MS IIS 7.5

Problem(Abstract)

While using WRT agent to monitor traffic on MS IIS version 7.5, no transactions are captured and reported in TEP.

Symptom

Installed wrt agent but not capturing any data.


Cause

At the time of writing this technote, version 7.5 of MS Internet Information Services is not currently supported. Check Tivoli RFE web site @:

http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/rfe/?BRAND_ID=90
as customer that reported this issue was going to open a Request For Enhancement.

WRT 7.3 Windows

Diagnosing the problem

If there are no transactions being captured, check the version of MS IIS; if it is v7.5 it's because at this moment in time it is not supported. Check for current version of fixpack or prerequisite web site to see if support for this version has been added, @:

Resolving the problem

Downgrade version of IIS if possible; check latest fixpack or newest version readme of ITCAMforTx product, to see if support has been added.
