Connect:Direct to Connect Direct Server Adapter error (JGIS031I) - The File URL specified in Copy is not valid

Troubleshooting

Problem

Connect:Direct to Connect Direct Server Adapter error (JGIS031I) - The File URL specified in Copy is not valid

Symptom

Error Message

error in cdinterop.log:

(JGIS031I) - The File URL specified in Copy is not valid

means:

Internal Error has been detected when accessing the file in
GIS.

SYSTEM ACTION: There is a syntax error in the copy statement
     in GIS.
RESPONSE: Please check the documentation for the copy
statement syntax on GIS. Copy statement should have either
mailbox or business process in the file syntax specified.

Resolving The Problem

Use the right syntax in the Copy To statement on the Connect:Direct Process

When sending to a mailbox on GIS/SI

Use this to get a document directly to or from a Gentran Integration Suite mailbox with a copy statement:
/mailbox/yourmailboxname/yourmessagename

If you created a virtual root you should only say in the CD Process file= /mailbox/filename

For example
If you create a GIS Virtual Root for a remote Connect:Direct account/user
In Connect:Direct Process CopyTo (copy to GIS) specify:
/mailbox/filename
For example:
Virtual Root in GIS: /tdaniels/inbox
Connect:Direct Process statement:
FILE=/mailbox/CD_to_GIS_data.txt
