Problem

Enumeration constraint failed. The element: www.stercomm.com/SI/MapTrimPCData' has an invalid value according <>

Symptom

Error when opening a map that was previously saved in mxl format

Error Message

Enumeration constraint failed. The element: '{http://www.stercomm.com/SI/Map}TrimPCData' has an invalid value according to its data type.

Resolving The Problem

Open the mxl file in notepad
Search for the tag <TrimPCData>

If this is found:-
<TrimPCData>236</TrimPCData>

Change value of the TrimPCData to 0, 1 or 2 below is an example and definition for each value. This can be changed in the property settings tab of the root element once you are able to open the map in the map editor.
<TrimPCData>0</TrimPCData>

0 = Always trim whitespace

1 = Never trim Whitespace

2 = Use trim setting from Translator.properties file

Save the mxl file and the mapper should be able to open the map.
