Problem

ODBC Microsoft Access Driver Login Failed - Not a Valid Password

Symptom

Error: ODBC Microsoft Access Driver Login Failed - Not a Valid Password

Error occurs during login to Director or when running Computer Name Sync utility

Cause

The GentranDirector.mdb file has been set to a read-only status

Resolving The Problem

Change the Gentrandirector.mdb properties so the status is not read-only:

  1. Find the Gentrandirector.mdb file in the C:\Program Files\COMMERCE Connection32\Database directory
  2. Highlight the file, right click and choose Properties
  3. Under Attributes, uncheck the Read-Only option
  4. Click Apply
  5. Click OK to save the changes
