- eDiscovery Manager Version 2.2 Fix Pack 2
- eDiscovery Manager Version 2.2 Fix Pack 1
- eDiscovery Manager Version 2.2
1.2 Before you upgrade to eDiscovery Manager Version 2.2 Fix Pack 3
Before you upgrade to eDiscovery Manager Version 2.2 Fix Pack 3:
- Verify that your system meets the minimum hardware and software requirements that are listed in System requirements for IBM eDiscovery Manager Version 2.2 Fix Pack 3.
- Temporarily disable the following features, if relevant:
- Perform prerequisite upgrade tasks:
If the deferred DDL execution feature of Content Manager EE is enabled, temporarily disable it. You can re-enable this feature after installing eDiscovery Manager.
If the object store is configured to use date partitioning during content-based retrieval, temporarily disable date partitioning by using FileNet Enterprise Manager. You can re-enable this feature after installing eDiscovery Manager.
See the instructions in the Before upgrading eDiscovery Manager (Content Manager EE) information center topic. You can ignore step 8.
See the instructions in the Before upgrading eDiscovery Manager (FileNet P8) information center topic. You can ignore step 6.
1.3 After you upgrade to eDiscovery Manager Version 2.2 Fix Pack 3
During the upgrade to version 2.2 Fix Pack 3, the existing EmailTemplate.xsl file is backed up and a new version of the file is installed. If you modified this file in a previous release and you want to keep your changes, use the backup file as a reference and apply your changes to the new version of the file. Both the backup file and the new version of the file are in the config subdirectory of the eDiscovery Manager installation directory. The backup file is named EmailTemplate.xsl.bkup0.
2. Migration
2.1 Supported migration path from IBM eMail Search
If you are migrating from IBM eMail Search, you must:
- Install eDiscovery Manager Version 2.1.
- Migrate from IBM eMail Search.
- Upgrade to eDiscovery Manager Version 2.1.1.
- Upgrade to eDiscovery Manager Version 2.2.
- Upgrade to eDiscovery Manager Version 2.2 Fix Pack 3.
3. Configuration
3.1 New content archive and collection types supported
This release of eDiscovery Manager supports three new content archive and collection types:
- Lotus Domino email (Content Search Services compound) - Content Collector
Lotus Domino email that was archived by using the Content Search Services compound email model of IBM Content Collector. - Microsoft Exchange email (Content Search Services compound) - Content Collector
Microsoft Exchange email that was archived by using the Content Search Services compound email model of IBM Content Collector. - SMTP email (Content Search Services compound) - Content Collector
SMTP email in MIME (Multi-purpose Internet Mail Extensions) format that was archived by using the Content Search Services compound email model of IBM Content Collector.
After creating a content archive of one of the types above, be sure to identify it to eDiscovery Manager by selecting it on the General Settings pane of the Administration page. You can then add or import a collection of this type, and associate the collection with one or more search templates.
Important: IBM Content Collector does not support having content that is indexed by IBM Content Search Services in the same object store as content that is indexed by IBM Legacy Content Search Engine. This means that you can use eDiscovery Manager to simultaneously search across collections that are indexed by IBM Content Search Services and collections that are indexed by IBM Legacy Content Search Engine, but only if the collections are in different object stores.
4. Using eDiscovery Manager
4.1 Same-sentence searches are not supported in IBM FileNet P8 environments with IBM Content Search Services
Same-sentence searches, also known as proximity searches, are not supported in IBM FileNet P8 environments with IBM Content Search Services. Attempts to perform same-sentence searches in this environment return no results.
