Problem
Error occurs in Oracle Connector stage - the connector received Oracle error code ORA-1406
Cause
In April 2010, a property was added to the Oracle Connector GUI that allows the user to ignore the ORA-1406 error.
Resolving The Problem
This property can be found in the in the Oracle Connector GUI under Usage-> Session-> Fail for data truncation. If this is set to YES, the job will fail. Setting this to NO allows the job to continue and the Oracle Connector logs warnings instead of throwing a fatal error. This property *is* found in version 8.1 FixPack2.
