Initiate Systems Support Portal Shutdown

In April 2011, we began working with our Exchange customers towards the migration from the Initiate Customer Support systems and processes to the IBM Support Systems. Throughout this quarter, we have opened up access to the IBM Support systems and have been providing technical support through both the IBM Support systems and the Initiate Support systems.

Please be informed that the legacy Initiate Support systems will be shutdown on Wednesday, September 7, 2011. At that time all new support requests must be entered through IBM’s Support Portal (http://www.ibm.com/support).

  • Go here and then reference the "New to IBM Support?" Featured Link on the IBM Support Portal. There you will find answers to many questions as well as step-by-step instructions related to getting started, getting registered, subscribing to communications and using the various tools required to engage the technical support team, including instructions on how to submit a service request (trouble ticket).
  • The IBM Customer Number (ICN) is required to register, engage and receive IBM Support. Your ICN was sent via email to your Site Technical Contact (STC). If you do not have your ICN or do not know who your STC is, please contact the IBM Client Care team at tsmail@us.ibm.com. More information about Site Technical Contacts can be found here.
  • In order to take full advantage of all the portal functionality and resources, you must register.
