PMs Are Not Created When an Asset is Transferred

Question

Is there a reason that PMs are not being created when rotating assets are transferred?

Answer

Currently when a rotating item is associated to a PM and that rotating item is transferred to a new site, Maximo creates a new PM record in the new site. This functionality will only work when the corresponding PM's status is active. If the PM record is in a status of draft, this will not apply and the PMs will not be created once moved to the new site. This is currently working as designed and is not a bug. For the records to be created based on the move, the status of the PM must be active.
