Troubleshooting
Problem
In some instance when accessing the Workflow Designer and/or (Advanced) Change and CI application using Internet Explorer - you may see the following warning/error at the bottom of your browser: 'Hidden Form Missing'. Clicking on the warning icon gives the following detail: Message: 'elements' is null or not an object.
Cause
Applications running with java servlet - while you can safely ignore this warning as it has no effect on the application functionality (this happens on other application as well as Maximo) – there is another solution to bypassing this popup warning.
Resolving The Problem
On the browser - IE being the example here -> Click – Tools -> Managed Add-ons –
select all java related files and disable them –
restart the browser – this should resolve this issue with the error message popup.
This was tested with Internet Explorer 7/8 on multiple Maximo releases of 7.1.x -
this solution may work for other browsers e.g. Firefox/etc.
The key in suppressing this message from popping up is to disable the java plugins.
With Maximo 7.5, however, in any of the Maximo applications –
you can try this simple workaround/solution to see if this will fix it
– if not - please open a new PMR with Maximo support.
