Revising a Purchase Order

Question & Answer

Question

Is it possible to add PO lines to a PO that has already been received against?

Answer

Yes. In Maximo 7.5 you have the ability to add PO lines to the purchase orders that are already approved and received against by using the "Revise PO" option from the "Select Action" menu in the Purchase Orders application. In order to revise a purchase order, that purchase order must be in either APPR or INPRG status.

Once the revision is created you can then begin making changes to the new purchase order such as adding additional PO lines.

After you have completed editing the PO you can then easily view the history and see the changes that have taken place with each revision by selecting "View Revision History" from the "Select Action" menu.
