Installation manager cannot create profile with remote DB2 on z/OS

Question

When using a remote IBM DB2 on z/OS, the Installation Manager for IBM Integration Designer cannot create the profile for IBM Business Process Manager V7.5 successfully.

You will see the following errors in the configDatabase.ant.log in the

<IID_WTE_ROOT>\logs\manageprofiles\<profilename> folder:

 [Exec] DB21034E The command was processed as an SQL statement because There is no

  [Exec] valid Command Line Processor command.

During the

  [Exec] SQL processing was issued the following:

  [Exec] SQL1024N The database connection was lost.

SQLSTATE = 08 003

  [Exec]

  [Exec] SQL1024N The database connection was lost.

SQLSTATE = 08 003

  [Exec]            

BUILD FAILED


Currently both IBM Installation Manager and the Typical Install do not support the profile creation on the remote z/OS DB2. If your database is on a z/OS system, you have to use the Profile Management Tools(PMT) or the manageprofiles scripts to create the profile manually.
