Abstract
Your Lotus Domino environment is unstable after upgrading to Domino 8.5.2 FP3. The server crashes every hour or so on the nIMAP task. This issue is an IMAP regression from 8.5.2 FP2 to 8.5.2 FP3.

A fix is now available for all platforms as an interim fix for Domino 8.5.2 FP3 (852FP3IF1).

How to Load and Apply 8.5.2FP3IF1 (IMAP) on the IBM i:
- Create a SAVF for DominoServer_852FP3IF1_IBMi_6.1_7.1.savf using the i5/OS command, CRTSAVF as follows:
CRTSAVF FILE(MYLIB/QL603609)
- FTP the Interim Fix to the IBM i:

On the PC, open a DOS window and enter the following commands and responses, when prompted:

ftp
[your IBM i system name or IP address]
Name: [Enter your IBM i user profile name and press enter]
Password: [Enter your IBM i password and press enter]
ftp> binary
Representation type is binary IMAGE.
ftp> put c:\DominoServer_852FP3IF1_IBMi_6.1_7.1.savf mylib/ql603609
ftp> quit
- Shutdown any 8.5.2 Domino servers.
- Load the PTF using the following i5/OS command:
LODPTF LICPGM(5733L85) DEV(*SAVF) SELECT(L603609) SAVF(Mylib/QL603609)
- Apply the PTF using the following i5/OS command:
APYPTF LICPGM(5733L85) SELECT(L603609)
- Start the Domino 8.5.2 Domino servers
SPR# TLAM8JZNMN is also fixed in Domino 8.5.2 FP4. Refer to the Upgrade Central site for details on upgrading Notes/Domino.
