Problem(Abstract)

TEM products are used in a variety of environments. Our goal is to design products that are usable for all of our various customers. The Console Improvement Program helps us accomplish this goal.

Resolving the problem

By collecting data from users that opt-in to the Console Improvement program, we learn more about how our different customers use the products and allows us to design solutions that better meet your needs.

What type of data do we collect?

For users that opt-in to the program, we collect data on the commands you select in the console, as well as how you navigate through content in the console, including the nodes on which you click. All data is time stamped. Users that do not opt-in will not have any usage data sent.

How is the data collected?

After choosing to participate, the console will store the logs locally, and submit them automatically.

Is my data safe?

Yes, the console encrypts the data before sending it.

If I participate, can change my mind?

Yes. If you decide to participate, and then later change your mind, you can stop the console from collecting and submitting data. In the console, go to the Help menu, and select "Customer Feedback Options." In the popup dialog, select "No, I would not like to participate at this time."
