After upgrading my WebReports web page gives me an HTTP 500 Error
An HTTP 500 error occurs because of the use of SQL Authentication and the remote database login credentials.
Resolving the problem
The WebReports database is on a remote database server. This error occurs because of the use of SQL Authentication and the remote database login credentials.
Note: It is best to use NT Authentication.
The SQL Auth entries in the registry are invalid or were removed.
To correct this error, check and validate or re-add the registry entries.
For additional details about remote database configuration and settings see the Remote Database Guide:
TEM Web Reports Server Service
The TEM Web Reports Server service is responsible for handling Web Reports user communication with the database. The service puts data into and pulls data out of the BESReporting database. If this component is broken you will not be able to load the Web Reports login page.
Set the following registry keys on the TEM Server:
String Value: "Username" = "<SQL Account Username>"
String Value: "Password" = "<SQL Account Password>"
Configure the LocalBESReportingServer DSN to use SQL authentication instead of NT authentication and set its default database to be the BESReporting database.
Restart the TEM Web Reports Server service.
