Problem(Abstract)

When propagating via the TEM Console I encounter the following error: Unexpected Error..... "ReadX509File failed"

Resolving the problem

This problem may be caused by a corrupt file. To fix it, follow the following steps: The problem appears to have been a corrupted __RevocationStore file, this file is kept with the TEM Console cache but is not cleared when using the Clear Cache button in the TEM Console.

  1. Login to the system.
  2. Stop the TEM Console from running.
  3. Navigate to the following directory under your login drive:
    \Documents and Settings\USER\Local Settings\Application Data\BigFix
    or
    C:\Users\USER\AppData\Local\BigFix

    where USER is your user login.
  4. Remove the contents of the directory, including the console cache and the __RevocationStore file.
Note: if you do not see the folder, please be sure to go to folder options and show Hidden files/folders to find the path.
