Are there any troubleshooting logs available for the TEM Console?
By default, logging is not enabled for the TEM Console. However, you may enable logging by setting the following registry keys.
Console logging is not enabled by default because the log can grow to be quite large. Best practice recommends you turn on the log file for debugging purposes only and then de-activate it afterwards (by removing the settings) to disable further logging.
To activate console logging create the following two REG_SZ values in the [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\BigFix\Enterprise Console] registry key.
Value: (path and filename of the log to generate. i.e. c:\console.log)
Name: EnabledLogs (Note: beginning in TEM version 6.0.19)
Value: all (Note: the all value is only available in TEM 7.1+)
If you do not want to log all stream types (using the all value), the following stream types can help to refine which specific logging streams are output to the log (by putting them in the EnabledLogs value as a semicolon-delimited list):
Please verify that the log file is created and written to. You do not need to restart the TEM Console for the file to appear.
