Why do my custom actions fail for the action 'run RunQuiet.exe QChain.exe'?

Problem(Abstract)

This problem is related to pathing.

Resolving the problem

This is a pathing related problem. The two executables are located in a folder for the Enterprise Security site on TEM Client computers. When a TEM Client performs an action from a Fixlet of the Enterprise Security site it uses the Enterprise Security site as the default location. The two executables are found in the current directory from this context.

When you create a custom Fixlet or perform a custom action, the TEM Client uses a different directory context location. The two executables are therefore not in the current directory from where the TEM Client is performing the action.

This problem can be solved by providing the correct path to the two executables.

run "{pathname of client folder of site "bessupport"}\RunQuiet.exe" "{pathname of client folder of site "bessecurity"}\QChain.exe"

Note: Additional programs such as besclientsetup.exe and StopServiceThenRunProgram.exe also reside in the bessupport directory.
