How can I compress or decompress files in a format that TEM understands?
The BFArchive utility can be used to compress and extract files in the compression file format that TEM uses.
Resolving the problem
TEM uses a common compression standard when compressing and extracting files. Files that are uploaded to the TEM Server through wizards such as the "Windows Software Deployment Wizard" are compressed and can be extracted by agents using the "extract" command.
To manually compress or decompress files in this format, you can use the BFArchive tool from: http://software.bigfix.com/download/bes/util/BFArchive-184.108.40.206.exe.
Compress - bfarchive.exe -a [source file or directory] [name of archive]
Decompress - bfarchive.exe -x [source archive] [target directory]
