Technote (troubleshooting)

Problem(Abstract)

The TEM digital signature scheme is built on asymmetric public/private key system using the OpenSSL implementation of the RSA algorithm.

Resolving the problem

The BigFix digital signature scheme is built on asymmetric public/private key system using the OpenSSL implementation of the RSA algorithm.

BigFix uses an symmetric key scheme to encrypt the actual key itself so that it is protected with a password. The actual algorithm used is 3DES.
