FileNet Enterprise Manager EM displays Unable to Connect from P8 Logon dialog window instead of launching the Create P8 Domain wizard

Technote (troubleshooting)


Attempts to connect to a successfully added P8 Domain Configuration for the first time results in error 'Unable to logon to the P8 Domain' when using IBM FileNet Enterprise Manager.


In FileNet Enterprise Manager EM the FileNet P8 Domain Configuration was added without issues however during an attempt to 'Connect' the following error is displayed:

Unable to logon to the P8 Domain.

Please ensure that the Server URL is correct and the Application Server is running. [Details*...]

A previous version of Windows component .NET API was installed instead of the referenced version mentioned in both P8 Hardware and Software Requirements Guide and the P8 Information Center ( Installing Enterprise Manager -
