Problem(Abstract)

Attempting to connect to a P8 Domain Configuration in IBM FileNet Enterprise Manager (FEM) for the first time results in error 'Unable to logon to the P8 Domain'.

Symptom

Unable to logon to the P8 Domain.

Please ensure that the Server URL is correct and the Application Server is running. [Details*...]                                                

*Enterprise Manager Error

Method not found: 'System.String

Microsoft.Web.Services3.Design.SecurityPolicyAssertion.get_ClientActor()'.


Cause

A previous version of Windows component .NET API was installed instead of the referenced version mentioned in product documentation.

The .NET Framework version can be verified in the Control Panel - Installed Programs - .NET Framework.

Resolving the problem
