WebSphere Process Server (WPS) BO Lazy parsing mode has compatibility issues with the Feature Pack for SCA 1.0.1 Fix Pack 11 or later

Technote (troubleshooting)

Problem(Abstract)

The BO Lazy parsing mode for WebSphere Process Server Version 7.0 and Fix Packs 1 to 4 has compatibility issues with the Feature Pack for SCA 1.0.1 Fix Pack 11 or a later fix pack version. Applications that are configured to use the BO lazy mode fail to run if your environment is upgraded to the Feature Pack for SCA 1.0.1 Fix Pack 11 or a later fix pack version.

You can upgrade WebSphere Process Server Version 7.0.0 Fix Pack 3 and 4 to work with the Feature Pack for SCA Version 1.0.1 Fix Pack 11 or a later fix pack version by completing the following steps. On z/OS, different APARs numbers are used for the delivery of this change, but represent the same fix.
  1. Download and install the Feature Pack for SCA Version 1.0.1 Fix Pack 11 or a later fix pack version. For more information on the Feature Pack for SCA Version 1.0.1 Fix Pack 11 or later, see the Fix List for IBM WebSphere Application Server V7 Feature Pack for Service Component Architecture (SCA) 1.0.1.

  2. Apply interim fix IFPM45805 (or any interim fix that supersedes IFPM45805; on z/OS PM48448) for the Feature Pack for SCA Version 1.0.1. This interim fix is available in the live repository for Installation Manager.

Note: This step is not necessary if you have installed the Feature Pack for SCA Version 1.0.1 Fix Pack 13 or a later.

  3. Apply the WebSphere Process Server interim fix that is applicable to your WebSphere Process Server Version 7.0.0 fix pack version.
