Problem

Gives error message "DPR-ERR-2014 Unable to load balance the request because no nodes in the cluster are available, or no nodes are configured for the service: reportService. " while running the report.

Symptom

Error message : DPR-ERR-2014 Unable to load balance the request because no nodes in the cluster are available, or no nodes are configured for the service: reportService.

Cause

Report service is not enabled.

Environment

Cognos BI

Resolving The Problem

Steps :

1. In Cognos Connection, launch Cognos Administration, click on Configuration tab, click on 'Dispatcher and Services' Tab.
2. Select appropriate dispatcher.
3. Select ReportService, click on 'More' under 'Actions'.
4. Click on 'Start' button.
5. Execute the report.

If ReportService is not available in Cognos Connection, follow the below steps:


1. Open the Cognos Configuration.
2. Under Environment, select Cognos 10 Service.
3. In Cognos 10 Service - Component Properties window, confirm that the Report Service enabled is set to true.
4. Save the Configuration. Stop and Start the Cognos8 service.
5. Execute the report.
