What is the correct way to shutdown TPC for Replication?

Cause

Planning, normal operations

Answer

To properly shutdown TPC for Replication without adversely affecting its configuration and active copy services operations:

1. export copysets for currently running sessions

2. if enabled, disable the heartbeat for metro mirror

3. if managed storage subsystems will be powered down or taken offline, suspend any active sessions (wait for TPC-R gui to update to 'Suspended' state).

4. shutdown the TPC-R server
