Problem(Abstract)

Unable to use entry templates with Workplace XT folders.

Symptom

Associating a template with a folder in Workplace XT results in the following stack trace error message:
ERROR [ (self-tuning)'] AjaxHandler.java:361 AjaxHandler:afterPhase() - Failed to invoke the AJAX method:#{wizardWorker.finish} javax.faces.el.EvaluationException: javax.faces.el.EvaluationException:
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: can't parse argument number


Cause

Workplace XT add-ons not installed.

Diagnosing the problem

The cause of the Java server exception experienced while adding an entry template to a folder is the below given stack trace:

Resolving the problem

Verify if XT add-ons are installed. The XT add-on files are located in %WorkplaceXT_Installation_Folder%\WebClient\WorkplaceXT\addons directory.

One way to verify would be to check if your Content Engine object stores in FileNet Enterprise Manager have a sub class named 'Folder preferences' under other classes -> Annotation class.
