Migrating to Tivoli Usage and Accounting Manager 7.3
The information center chapter " Migrating to Tivoli Usage and Accounting Manager version 7.3" explains the migration from Tivoli Usage and Accounting Manager 7.1.x to version 7.3.
For information about hardware and software compatibility, see the detailed system requirements in the Tivoli Usage and Accounting Manager 7.3 Information Center. Separate requirements are provided for Linux and UNIX and Windows Server platforms.
Installing Tivoli Usage and Accounting Manager 7.3
For step-by-step installation instructions, see the installation topics in the Tivoli Usage and Accounting Manager 7.3 Information Center.
The following information will help you to get started using Tivoli Usage and Accounting Manager V7.3. For more information about configuring Tivoli Usage and Accounting Manager and getting started using the application, see the configuration topics in the Tivoli Usage and Accounting Manager 7.3 Information Center.
Start the Administration Console to set up and configure the Usage and Accounting Manager:
Start an Internet Explorer or Firefox Web browser, and type http://<hostname>:16310/ibm/console/ in the address bar. In this case <hostname> defines the server that is running the Administration Console.
If your port number is not the default 16310, replace 16310 with the correct port number.
Finding your Administration Console port number:
If the port 16310 or 16311 are already in use for the Administration Console, the port numbers are increased until unused ones are found. To determine the exact port number that is defined for your installation, view the AboutThisProfile.txt file under the path: <TIP_INSTALL_PATH>\profiles\TIPProfile\logs. Search for the text: HTTP transport port or HTTPS transport port.
Issue when viewing the Run Total Invoice report in Microsoft Report Viewer in Turkish Locale. When the report is run, no Rate information is displayed and the text "Error" is displayed in the report instead. The report displays correctly in Turkish Locale when using Cognos reporting.
The VMware Collector will not run on the command line using startJobRunner.bat/startJobRunner. sh. The workaround is to run the collector job files from the Administration Console.
For installations where TUAM is upgraded to TUAM 7.3, users may see rendering issues in the Administration Console, these are due to User Interface changes in TUAM 7.3. The issues can be rectified by clearing the browser cache.
If a user selects a context menu on a portlet window using >> and then moves to a different portlet window, the context menu will remain on the new portlet window. The workaround for this is to click on the new portlet window and the context menu will disappear.
When re-running a report in Cognos, if the user selects a different Account Code Structure which has less levels than the Account Code Structure previously selected, an error message is seen when the Starting or Ending Account Codes are chosen. This prevents the user from running the report. The workaround is to re-run the report from the main report folder in Cognos (by using the Cognos Return option).
The user may see the following error when launching a portlet window: " The portlet page is not ready". The workaround for this is to close the portlet window and re-launch it.
The user may see the following error when launching a portlet window: " An error occurred - Check the log for additional information". The workaround is to close the portlet window and re-launch it.
Java parseDouble Vulnerability for TUAM - For more information about this, see http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21469089
If the Administration Console session times out, it is necessary for the user to enter their login details twice in order to log back into the Administration Console.
In the Administration console, some tables may be displayed with the header and column not aligned. The workaround for this is to drag the header to match the column.
For DB2 zOS, there are some functional areas that development are continuing to optimize and improve, such as the Cognos reporting and the Auditing for Administration feature. Any updates that may be required will be provided in the TUAM 7.3 Fix Pack targeted for July 2011, or earlier if appropriate.
The Integrator stage CreateIdentifierFromTable does not work if the sort parameter is set to true as the first line of the table will be ignored. The workaround for this is to set the sort parameter to false in the stage.
When creating a Conversion mapping, it is not possible to enter a NULL value for the Low identifier field. A user should be able to include a default account code as the last entry in the account code conversion table by leaving the low and high identifier fields empty (for example, “DEFAULTCODE”). In this case, all records that contain identifier values that do not match an entry in the account code conversion table will be matched to the default code. The workaround for this is to add the default mapping manually to the file after it has been exported.
If a new Proration mapping is created as a result of editing an existing mapping, and if the new mapping is deleted, the Proration Targets of the expired Proration are also deleted.
The Windows Web reporting User Interface sometimes displays a message saying ' Download Report Viewer 2010'. This can be ignored if Report Viewer 2010 is already installed.
When viewing the TUAM reports in the Hungarian locale, English translations with extra characters will be displayed. The workaround for this is to update the product and content languages to English in the My Preferences section in Common Reporting.
When using Internet Explorer, if you launch the Job files portlet window and move between job files, you get a message saying “ You have changed the file. If you continue, your changes will be lost. Do you want to continue?” even though the job file has not been changed. The workaround for this is to click Yes. This is not an issue when using Firefox.
