Issue with the getRifID DXL function in IBM Rational DOORS

Problem(Abstract)

The getRifID DXL function is used to gather the unique ID of a module that has been imported using the Requirements Interchange Format (RIF) functionality. Currently, getRifID DXL function is not working.

Cause

The getRifID DXL function is set up to return a value only if the imported RIF module is encrypted. Imported RIF modules are not encrypted, so getRifID is not able to return a value.

Diagnosing the problem

This issue is identified as a product defect and has been logged as APAR PM34826.

This defect has been reported with Rational DOORS 9.0 on all operating systems.


Resolving the problem

There is no workaround to this issue.


This problem has been fixed in Rational DOORS version 9.4.
