The maximum memory for the 64 bit Modeler Client should not be capped.

Troubleshooting

Problem

Within Modeler client I have the option to increase/decrease the setting Tools -> options -> system options Maximum Memory. However if I select to move the memory up, the highest value displayed is 4090. If I type a value in, that value does not save in subsequent sessions of Modeler. Why does this value have a cap?

Resolving The Problem

Modeler versions 14.1 and 14.2 have Maximum Memory limit set at 4090.

Work around:
On Windows Server 2008 x64, changing the value manually in Modeler 14 Client's system.prefs allows the value to be higher than 1500.
System.prefs path is: C:\Users\<iuser>\AppData\Roaming\SPSSInc\Modeler\Defaults
See this technote for the Modeler Client 32 bit installation limitation.

Modeler 15 has now removed the Maximum Memory limit for 64bit client. Modeler client 32bit/64bit must be installed on a same bit OS.
