The following error message exists in the WebSphere Lombardi Edition log file:

Error converting data type decimal to decimal.; nested exception is
com.jnetdirect.jsql.JSQLNonFatalException: Error converting data type decimal to decimal.

The cause of the problem has been identified as the version of the JNetDirect driver that is shipped with WebSphere Lombardi Edition 7.1, 7.1.0 Fix Pack 1 and 7.2. An updated version of the driver is available through IBM Fix Central. To download it from IBM Fix Central, click Download Hot Fix 110129710

In IBM Fix Central, place a check in the box in front of the fix. For example:


The correct Microsoft SQL driver version is v5.97, which will be listed in the SystemOut.log file.
