Problem
DataStage Job Error "Abnormal termination of stage" for transformer stage generated after increase in data volume (700K) being processed
Symptom
Increase of DataStage job processing record and/or data volume. One case showed on UNIX platform cause database ODBC plugin to abort abnormally.
Resolving The Problem
On AIX with DataStage 7.5.x, per process heap space can be increased by performing the following:
- Changing DSEngine shared memory offsets in $DSHOME/uvconfig
- Setting the LDR_CNTRL environment variable to MAXDATA=0x30000000 in either $DSHOME/dsenv or at the project level using the Administrator.
Other values that may help resolve issue depending on the results of testing:
DMEMOFF 0x90000000
PMEMOFF 0xa0000000
CMEMOFF 0xb0000000
NMEMOFF 0xc0000000
