Question
You are running a release of a CICS product with a General Availability (GA) date before the GA date of z/OS V1.12. Now you want to know, what releases of your CICS products are compatible with z/OS V1.12?
Cause
z/OS V1.12 GA was after the GA of some of the releases of your CICS products.
Answer
These technotes discuss the compatibility for CICS products that were GA prior to the GA of z/OS V1.12:
- CICS BAC 1.1.1 compatibility with z/OS 1.12
- CICS CM 2.1 and 1.2 compatibility with z/OS 1.12
- CICS IA 3.1 and 2.2 compatibility with z/OS 1.12
- CICS OTTO 1.2 compatibility with z/OS 1.12
- CICS PA 3.2, 3.1, and 2.1 compatibility with z/OS 1.12
- CICS TS compatibility with z/OS 1.12
- CICS VR 4.3 and 4.2 compatibility with z/OS 1.12
- CICS VT 1.2 compatibility with z/OS 1.12
- IBM Session Manager 2.2 compatibility with z/OS 1.12
Note: The compatibility items in the list above are for products or releases that were already GA before the GA of z/OS V1.12. Therefore, any products or releases that have a GA date on or after the GA of z/OS V1.12 on 24 September 2010 (like CICS Deployment Assistant for z/OS V1.1) do not have a compatibility item. You can check the System requirements link in the Product related links section on Support Portal for other products to see the required software level(s). The System requirements link for CICS DA, for example, states: "Require IBM z/OS V1.9, or later..."
