The end of support date for WebSphere Development Studio Client for System i 7.0 was April 30, 2010.

WORKAROUND:

Depending on the features you need, there are several options to replace WebSphere Development Studio Client for System i that you can try free for a 60 day trial.

These include:

  • IBM Rational Developer for Power Systems Software
  • IBM Rational Business Developer
  • IBM Rational Application Developer

Notes:

  • IBM Rational Developer for i is still supported, but customers are encouraged to move to IBM Rational Developer for Power Systems Software for new features and more current maintenance.
  • IBM Rational Application Developer or IBM Rational Business Developer must be installed in the same package as IBM Rational Developer for i or IBM Rational Developer for Power Systems Software to add java or EGL and web tooling.
