You receive a "File Not Found" message when attempting to acquire extract files by FTP for the Enhanced Preventive Service Planning (PSP) Tool.
The Enhanced PSP tool was sunset in 2009 as announced in the z/OS V1.11 Announcement letter, at SHARE, and on the IBM Technical Support website. As a result, the Enhanced PSP tool, and the associated host compare program and extract files, were removed from the IBM Technical Support website on 20 January 2011. This was to ensure that you would not acquire what you think is a comprehensive, daily updated file when in fact it was last updated 19 January 2011.
Resolving the problem
Use the FIXCAT HOLDATA and SMP/Es REPORT MISSINGFIX command. This is new function that has been incorporated into SMP/E and is the replacement for the Enhanced PSP tool.
For more information, see SMP/E FIXCAT HOLDATA and REPORT MISSINGFIX command in the z/OS V1.10 information center.
