Announcement: WebSphere Application Server Community Edition Version 2.1.1.5 is now available

WebSphere Application Server Community Edition V2.1.1.5 is a service refresh release over the WebSphere Application Server Community Edition V2.1 release. For the details about the WebSphere Application Server Community Edition V2.1 release, visit this link.

This service refresh release is based on Apache Geronimo Server 2.1.5 which has upgraded Tomcat to 6.0.29, Derby to 10.5.3.1, OpenEJB to 3.0.3, wadi 2.1.2, TranQL 1.7 and so on. It includes many defect fixes from Apache Geronimo and many additional fixes on top of it from IBM. Significant additional features and improvements provided in this service refresh release are as follows.

• WebSphere Application Server Community Edition V2.1.1.5 now supports http header-based authentication to implement single sign on in your product environment
  
  
• WebSphere Application Server Community Edition Eclipse Plug-in (WEP) for 2.1.1.5 is based on Geronimo Eclipse Plug-in (GEP) 2.1.7, which supports Eclipse Helios and Rational Application Developer V8.0.
  
  
• More new features are supported with upgraded components in the WebSphere Application Server Community Edition server. For example, user can configure derby.connection.requireAuthentication property to enable/disable authentication to the embedded Derby Server.
  
  
• Upgrade Tomcat to 6.0.29, Derby to 10.5.3.1, OpenEJB to 3.0.3, wadi to 2.1.2, TranQL to 1.7 and so on
