What is IBM Rational’s current response to HSPD-12, and which products support CAC/PKI?

Answer

In compliance with Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12/HSPD-12 , the DoD began issuing its Common Access Cards in October 2006. Pursuant to the President’s mandate, the new HSPD-12 compliant card contains advanced technology, which will enhance the security of Federally controlled facilities and computer systems and ensure a safer work environment for all Federal employees and contractors.

In compliance with HSPD-12, Rational has added CAC/PKI (also known as Smart Card) support for the following products. Rational has conducted tests using the DoD issued CAC cards along with ActivClient middleware.
