Troubleshooting
Problem
Suppressing the zero column in a cross tab report designed from a model bulit in Framework Manager and from a query built using native SQL
Symptom
Resolving The Problem
When the package is published from Framework Manager and the suppress option is enabled during package publish (Highlighted in Blue) then:
Method 1: Using Published package through Framework Manager.
1. Create a cross tab report with two or more measures in Report Studio.
2. Select the measure column containing zero values that needs to be suppressed(eg. SuppressTest column contains zero values)
3. Go to Data on menu bar. Click Suppress-->Suppress columns only .
The required column's data(i.e SuppressTest) gets suppressed having zero values.
Method 2: Query Subject build using Native SQL in Report Studio.
1. In the Query explorer drag a SQL object from the toolbox in Insertable Objects pane.
Write a native SQL query and validate the same.
2. Drag the data items from the newly created Query to create a cross tab.
3. Select the cross tab.
4.Set the Default Measure property under the data section in the properties window.
It can be set to any measure or calculated column(eg SuppressTest).
Follow step 2 and 3 specified for Method 1
The required column gets suppressed.
