"Unable to find valid target platform" When upgrading to a Standard Fix Pack
When attempting to install a fix pack over 8.5.1, you receive the following error:
"RCP_TARGET_PRODUCT_NOT_FOUND_ERROR, Value: Unable to find valid target
The Fix Pack does not install.
In one case, it was found to be that the registry key(s):
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/IBM/Lotus/Expeditor had an additional, incorrect entry. This folder should only contain 2 folders for the Standard Notes install, or 3 for a Standard Notes install with a Fix Pack. It may contain other folders for other installed programs, such as Sametime, but only 2-3 for Notes. For example, from 8.5.2, there are 2 folders:

(Default) - With a value of (Not set)
xpdInstallLocation, with a default value of
The other folder is Notes, which should have the same (Default) key, as well as a Launcher key with a value of:
They keys should point to the directory where Notes is installed.
Resolving the problem
In this case deleting the erroneous keys fixed the issue.
