Problem(Abstract)


Adding a language pack (English version) to PE using vwtaskman results in the following errors:

Symptom

java.lang.Exception: [Err=d56d00b3] NotifyMsg application not found.
java.io.IOException: Server returned HTTP response code: 500


and

2010/06/11 12:51:58.381 213,109,178 <fnsw> VW/Process (1056906) ...
VW (Region=1): vwnotify: Error processing notification [[Err=d56d00b2]
NotifyMsg object not found in DB. [notify.msg.locale.en]]



Resolving the problem

Open a command prompt and enter:

  1. export LC_TIME=C
    export LC_MESSAGES=C
  2. "locale -a" must show all set to 'C'
  3. install the language pack from the task manager in (PE)
  4. set
    export LC_TIME=C
    export LC_MESSAGES=C

    back to

    export LANG=en_US.iso88591
  5. stop all the PE processes and exit the Process Task Manager. Restart the PE and start the Process Task Manager

The language pack should now be accepted.
