Error occurs when installing language pack for IBM ECM FileNet P8 PE (PE) 4.0.3-002

Technote (troubleshooting)


Adding a language pack (English version) to PE using vwtaskman results in the following errors:


java.lang.Exception: [Err=d56d00b3] NotifyMsg application not found. Server returned HTTP response code: 500

NotifyMsg object not found in DB. [notify.msg.locale.en]]

Resolving the problem

Open a command prompt and enter:

  1. export LC_TIME=C
    export LC_MESSAGES=C
  2. "locale -a" must show all set to 'C'
  3. install the language pack from the task manager in (PE)
  4. set
    export LC_TIME=C
    export LC_MESSAGES=C

    back to

    export LANG=en_US.iso88591
  5. stop all the PE processes and exit the Process Task Manager. Restart the PE and start the Process Task Manager

The language pack should now be accepted.
