Corrupted words displayed during configuration of WebSphere Process Server Hypervisor Edition for Red Hat Enterprise Linux

Technote (troubleshooting)

Problem(Abstract)

If you configure WebSphere Process Server Hypervisor Edition for Red Hat Enterprise Linux with certain languages (for example, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Greek), you might see corrupted words on the OS-related configuration pages.

Cause

The corrupted words are caused by a limitation in Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server; some languages are not supported during text mode installation, which is what WebSphere Process Server Hypervisor Edition uses to install the OS.

See the following Red Hat documentation for more details.

Resolving the problem

Ignore the corrupted words and proceed with the installation and configuration.

Note that although you might see English words on the pages (including the license agreement page), the OS on the running system is configured with the language you specified.
