Deployment Engine fails to install during installation of Lotus Forms Server

Problem

The install of the Deployment Engine fails to install during the initial setup steps for the install of Lotus Forms Server

Diagnosing The Problem

Reviewing the FormsServerInstall-00.log file that is found in the root of the admin account, it appeared that the installation failed on step 13 of the deployment engine install. This step 13 was specific to installing the CIT.

Reviewing the Tivoli documentation, it stated that the CIT gets installed for Linux under /opt/tivoli/cit

To check the disk space for /opt, use the "df -g" command.

Resolving The Problem

To resolve this problem, it is required to have sufficient space in the opt folder. Increasing the disk space for the opt folder should allowed the installation to proceed.
