Content

Host On-Demand will continue to be supported on a limited basis. If a problem occurs with software that is no longer supported, and you can recreate the problem in a supported environment, then IBM Support will pursue a resolution. If a problem is determined to be a specific issue with unsupported software, then no resolution will be pursued. For example, Microsoft Windows 2000 went out of support in July, 2010. If a problem exists on this operating system and can be recreated on Windows 7, then IBM Support will pursue a resolution. If the problem exists only on Windows 2000, then no solution will be provided.

Q: What is IBM's technical support commitment for IBM middleware products that operate on third party software (operating systems or applications), and the third party product is no longer supported?

    A:
IBM technical support applies only to the IBM licensed products. If these products are running on an operating system (or with a co-requisite, pre-requisite product) that is no longer supported by the third party, then IBM technical support is limited to defects that can be replicated on supported environments (i.e. supported versions of the operating systems).
